In those 4 years you have went from an independent puppy who seemed ambivalent towards my existence all the way to the snuggliest, most loving puppy who helped me get through my darkest of times. This album is NOT bubblegum, but it has its sticky moments and other moments where it is incredibly strong. #DoubleNegative #ElectricFetus #ExclusiveLP #BubbleGumSoda . Pic 2: The band was kind enough to sign albums, and the one that meant most to me was #OnesAndSixes. I was late to the Low party (sorry), so this was the first album of theirs I listened to AND owned. I went through the deepest situational depression of my life when this album found its way into my ears (and heart). A swift kick to the heart for someone who is well in the anxiety spectrum can cause a depression like the one I experienced. It was tough to fall asleep at night. Most sad songs were either too sad, too loud, or consumed my brain too much. But Ones And Sixes allowed me to cry until I fell asleep and somehow have a shred of hope that there was light at the end of this tunnel. . Pic 3: Low gets warmed up before the in-store performance. . Pic 4: Low performs a handful of songs from the new album. While containing the same heart, these songs sound wildly different live versus the album. It’s fun to hear the interpretations and experimentations; both forms equally as daring and personal. . Again, thank you @electricfetusmpls and @lowtheband. To be able to be part of such a big day was incredible. Everyone should be proud - that money you talked about going to the band, the local record shops, and @subpop, Alan, was money well spent on my end.

Thanks to this platform (@instagram), I was able to enjoy @piescipizza during my travels to #Detroit. It’s fun when you find a business because of social media and they turn out to be fantastic people.
