It’s not baseball, nor is it a road trip, but this concert was made entirely possible because of a baseball road trip I took to Omaha back in June. There I met @ianperlman and I think I made a new friend. I thought I was a weirdo for being a vegan dude who loved baseball and music, but then Ian appeared. Recently, I made a friendly wager with him, since it was Twins/Yankees in the playoffs. The loser had to give the winner a vinyl record from a local artist. Since I “lost”, I got to share a favorite Minnesotan of mine and then Ian did something crazy by sending me to his roommate’s band’s show at the 7th Street Entry in Minneapolis. So I guess we exchanged local music and no one is a loser. Oh, and @cityofthesun is LEGIT! I love instrumental music and this was some ethereal, chill, uptempo acoustic dance stuff right here. These guys could play in any country in the world and folks would dig it. Their universal sound and great energy will also make them PERFECT for movie soundtracks, especially travel/adventure (in my opinion). Thank you, Ian. And thank you Zach. And thank you baseball. The world is smaller and more giving than we think. There are plenty of cool friends to be made... even if they are Yankee fans. 😉
