Cincinnati Reds 15 – Minnesota Twins 9
Target Field – Minneapolis, MN
April 27, 2018
Who DOESN’T like a four hour game?! Especially when it is a nine inning affair that the home team is losing to the worst team in the league.
The game was slow and so was BP. The Twins wrapped up fairly shortly after I entered the gates and the Reds were their notorious selves – little to no HR action.
What I can tell you is that despite this, nine baseballs entered my collection, but none of any great significance.
Ball 1: Caught outside of the gate. Some Twin bomb (probably LoMo).
Ball 2: A toss-up by an unidentified Twin.
Ball 3: A toss-up by an unidentified Red.
Ball 4: TAKE YOUR BASE! I mean, toss-up by Amir Garrett.
Ball 5: Another toss-up by an unidentified Red.
Ball 6: A nice pre-game hook-up from Eduardo Escobar directly from the ball bag (mud-rubbed game balls).
Ball 7: A nice gamer from the bat boy.
Ball 8: Another nice gamer, this time after the game, from the bat boy.
Ball 9: A Florida Spring Training ball from the bat boy.
Oh, I also got Logan Morrison to sign the ball that Evie caught. So that was pretty cool, especially since he personalized it to her.
But let’s be honest, my head was already in California, dreaming about that West Coast trip…
