Washington Nationals 0 – Minnesota Twins 5
Target Field – Minneapolis, MN
September 10, 2019
For the first time this year, I found myself at Target Field TWICE in the same month. I even went the entire months of April through June not attending a game at my home field, so this was a rarity that hadn’t happened since last September.
I decided to stick with the plan of seeing the Nationals for the first time at Target Field, leaving me only the Giants and Cubs to see at the Twins’ home. And I’m glad I moved the date from the 11th to the 10th, because I also got my 2019 Target Field high score (unless the playoffs are kind to me) – a sad, but respectable-if-average total of 6. The last time I got 6 or more in Minnesota? August 25, 2018.
I wish I had a more interesting game recap to share, or a cool story about how I caught a record-setting home run (or ANY home run), but this was not that type of game. I guess I’ll have to wait and see if I can become Mr. October and catch some magic.
Ball 1: Unknown National – the ghost of Livan Hernandez?
Ball 2: Aaron Barrett
Ball 3: Gerardo Parra
Ball 4: Henry Blanco
Ball 5: Unknown National – the ghost of Matt LeCroy’s cry-inducing play?
Ball 6: Bat Boy
And here is the song that is referenced in the title. Again, for the third time, raise up them devil horns, rock out, and then go out and save the planet. This album rocks!… HARD!
